Automated sheet metal joining technology

Joining is a process by which two or more materials can be permanently or temporarily joined or assembled together. Various different automated sheet metal joining techniques can be used in your WEMO solution, such as welding and clinching.

Welding

Welded joints are typically classified into two main types: spot or resistance welding and projection welding.

Clinching technology

Clinching

Clinching joins overlapping sheet parts without adding material. Depending on your specific needs, we recommend either welding, clinching, or another suitable joining technique. These techniques are based on existing technologies that we've optimized for WEMO machines.
