Why did you choose WEMO 33 years ago?
As an intern, I had already worked at WEMO and considered it a valuable experience. After completing my studies in Electrical Engineering and Electronics, I wanted to master mechanics through practical experience. After five years with another employer, a vacancy for an all-round
engineer at WEMO came up. This was naturally a perfect fit for me, and after applying, I could start immediately.
What have been the highlights (or milestones) of your career at WEMO?
I have had a wonderful career at WEMO: from engineer to project engineer, then head of assembly, and I have been a service supervisor for about 15 years now. When I was still working on projects, every machine delivered felt like a part of myself. As a result, I look back on only beautiful machines, often with interesting technical challenges.
Why is WEMO still a great employer after all these years?
WEMO continues to innovate and challenges every employee to bring out the best in themselves. This applies not only on an individual level but also as a team player, because we need each other to realize this beautiful product.

How have relationships between colleagues evolved over the years, and what role does teamwork play within the company?
Over the years, I have seen many colleagues come and go, but a core group has formed at WEMO of people who, like me, have a great passion for machines and technology. Often, friendships arise from this that last a lifetime. At WEMO, we work as a team: we do everything together, and only with a strong team can we achieve remarkable results. Every machine we build is unique.
How do you think WEMO will continue to stand out in the market in the future?
Because WEMO mainly builds specially designed machines, the work always remains challenging. The concepts are often similar, but each machine has unique properties and makes a different product. This ensures that you are constantly challenged to think along, analyze, and adapt, making it a continuous learning process and always interesting. Precisely because of this specialization in machine building, customers worldwide know how to find WEMO. They trust that WEMO delivers powerful, reliable machines.
